Terms of Service

Version 1.8 · Last updated: 19 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Mandi Hub — the website, the mobile application, the platform and the related services.

Mandi Hub is a digital marketplace that helps farmers, agricultural producers and buyers find one another and talk to one another about agricultural products. It is not a party to what they agree between themselves.

By accessing, registering on, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Mandi Hub website, mobile application, platform and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). Mandi Hub is a digital marketplace intended to facilitate discovery and communication between farmers, agricultural producers, buyers and other permitted users in relation to agricultural products.

  • By accessing, registering on, or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by any policies or guidelines expressly incorporated into them.
  • If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
  • These Terms constitute an electronic record and may be accepted electronically. No physical or digital signature is required unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly requested by Mandi Hub.

Mandi Hub may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when published on the Platform or on the date stated in the updated Terms. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2Definitions and Interpretation

These words carry the following meaning wherever they appear in these Terms:

  • “Mandi Hub”, “we”, “us” or “our” means the entity that owns or operates the Mandi Hub Platform.
  • “User”, “you” or “your” means any person or entity accessing or using the Platform, including a Farmer, Seller, Buyer or other permitted participant.
  • “Farmer” or “Seller” means a User who lists or offers agricultural products through the Platform.
  • “Buyer” means a User who searches for, communicates about, or seeks to purchase agricultural products through the Platform.
  • “Listing” means any product description, photograph, price, quantity, location, availability information or other content submitted in connection with an agricultural product.
  • “Transaction” means a sale, purchase or other commercial arrangement between a Buyer and Seller, whether concluded through or outside the Platform.
  • “Content” means text, images, photographs, documents, product information, reviews, messages and other material submitted to or made available through the Platform.

References to applicable law include all applicable central, state and local laws, rules, regulations, orders and governmental requirements in force from time to time.

3Eligibility and User Registration

The Platform may be used only by persons who are legally capable of entering into binding agreements under applicable law. Where a User acts on behalf of a business, organisation or other legal entity, the User represents that they have authority to bind that entity.

  • Users must provide accurate, complete and current information during registration, and must promptly update information that becomes inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Mandi Hub may require additional information or verification where reasonably necessary for account security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, marketplace integrity or the provision of particular services.
  • Mandi Hub may decline registration, restrict access or require re-verification where information provided by a User cannot reasonably be verified, or where continued access presents a legal, security or marketplace risk.

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. We ask for your date of birth before registration to confirm this, and accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are closed and their data deleted.

4User Accounts and Account Security

Each User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for activity conducted through the User’s account.

  • Credentials must not be sold, transferred, shared or knowingly made available to another person.
  • Users must notify Mandi Hub promptly if they suspect unauthorised access, loss of credentials, impersonation or other compromise of their account.
  • Mandi Hub may require identity, contact or other verification measures, and may suspend access while a security or verification matter is investigated.

Mandi Hub is not responsible for losses arising from a User’s failure to maintain reasonable account security, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

5Verification Before Selling

Anyone may browse the Platform and contact a seller. Publishing a listing requires a verified identity, and this is the check the marketplace rests on.

  • A seller submits an identity document for verification. Until that verification is approved, the account can browse, search and message, but cannot publish a listing.
  • Once verification is approved, listings publish immediately and are visible to buyers without further review.
  • A verified badge means an identity document was checked. It is not a statement about the quality, grade, quantity or safety of anything the seller offers.
  • Verification may be withdrawn, and listings restricted or removed, where information cannot be confirmed or where an account presents a legal, security or marketplace risk.

Identity documents are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. They are used for verification and are never shown on a public profile.

6Mandi Hub Marketplace and Platform Role

Mandi Hub operates as a digital marketplace that facilitates discovery, listing and communication between Users. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular service, Mandi Hub is not the owner, seller, purchaser, manufacturer, producer, transporter, warehouse operator or insurer of agricultural products listed by Users.

  • A contract for the sale of agricultural products is ordinarily between the relevant Buyer and Seller. Mandi Hub is not a party to that contract merely because the Platform facilitates discovery or communication.
  • Mandi Hub does not, solely by hosting a Listing, represent or warrant that a Seller owns the product, has authority to sell it, possesses the quantity stated, or that the product will meet a Buyer’s expectations.

Where Mandi Hub expressly provides an additional service, the terms applicable to that service govern it to the extent of any inconsistency with these Terms.

7Farmer and Seller Obligations

A Seller is solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and completeness of each Listing, and for having the necessary right, authority and permissions to offer the relevant agricultural product.

  • A Seller must provide information that is materially accurate and not misleading, including product type, variety, quantity, grade or quality description, location, expected availability, price and material conditions of sale.
  • A Seller must not list products that are unlawful to sell, restricted from sale without required approvals, counterfeit, stolen, fraudulently obtained, unsafe, adulterated or otherwise prohibited by applicable law or Platform policy.
  • A Seller must promptly update or remove a Listing when the product is no longer available or when material information changes.
  • A Seller remains responsible for applicable taxes, licences, registrations, permits, statutory disclosures and compliance obligations arising from the Seller’s activities.

8Buyer Obligations

Buyers must use the Platform and communicate with Sellers lawfully, honestly and in good faith.

  • A Buyer must review Listing information and make appropriate enquiries before entering into a Transaction, particularly where price, quantity, grade, quality, location, delivery arrangements or perishability may materially affect the purchase.
  • Buyers must not make fraudulent enquiries, impersonate another person, manipulate demand, submit false information, misuse contact details, or engage in conduct intended to deceive or unfairly disadvantage Sellers or other Users.
  • Where a Buyer enters into a Transaction, the Buyer is responsible for fulfilling their agreed obligations, including payment, collection, delivery coordination or other commitments applicable to that Transaction.

9Listings, Product Information, Pricing and Availability

Listings are created and maintained by Users. A listing from a verified seller is published without prior review, and Mandi Hub may review, moderate, restrict, edit or remove Listings where it reasonably considers that they violate these Terms, applicable law, Platform policies or marketplace standards.

  • Prices and availability may change at any time before a Transaction is concluded. A Listing does not by itself guarantee that the product will remain available at the displayed price.
  • Users are responsible for verifying material information before relying upon it.
  • Photographs, descriptions and other digital representations may not fully reflect the actual condition, appearance, size, quality or quantity of agricultural products.
  • Mandi Hub may impose reasonable limits on Listings, categories, quantities, geographic availability or other marketplace parameters to maintain Platform integrity and compliance.

10Buyer–Seller Communications and Transactions

Mandi Hub may provide communication features to enable Buyers and Sellers to discuss potential Transactions. Users are responsible for the content and accuracy of their communications and for complying with applicable law.

  • Mandi Hub does not guarantee that communications will result in a Transaction, or that any User will respond, perform, pay or deliver as discussed.
  • Unless Mandi Hub expressly confirms otherwise, payment terms, inspection arrangements, delivery or pickup, title transfer, risk of loss, taxes and other commercial terms are agreed between the Buyer and Seller.
  • Users must exercise reasonable caution before transferring money, sharing sensitive information or relying upon representations made by another User.

Mandi Hub may take protective action where it identifies suspected fraud, abuse or other material risk.

11Delivery, Pickup and Fulfilment

Where delivery or pickup is arranged directly between Buyer and Seller, the parties are responsible for agreeing the location, timing, transport arrangements, costs, handling requirements and responsibility for loss or damage.

  • Agricultural products may be perishable or sensitive to time, temperature, handling and storage conditions. Users should take these characteristics into account when agreeing fulfilment arrangements.
  • Where Mandi Hub separately provides or facilitates logistics or fulfilment services, the applicable service-specific terms govern those arrangements.

Mandi Hub does not assume responsibility for delay, deterioration, shortage, damage or loss arising from arrangements outside services expressly undertaken by Mandi Hub, subject always to applicable law.

12Product Quality, Accuracy and Disputes

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that products supplied correspond materially with the agreed description and comply with applicable legal requirements.

  • Buyers should inspect or otherwise verify products where reasonably practicable, particularly for quantity, grade, quality, condition and other material characteristics.
  • Disputes concerning a Transaction should first be raised with the relevant counterparty.
  • Mandi Hub may, where appropriate and reasonably possible, assist with communication, evidence preservation or platform-level action, but does not guarantee resolution of disputes between Users.

Mandi Hub may investigate credible reports of fraud, material misrepresentation, prohibited products, repeated non-performance or other marketplace abuse, and may take appropriate action under these Terms.

13Prohibited Activities and Platform Misuse

Users must not use the Platform to:

  • conduct or facilitate unlawful activity or transactions
  • provide false, deceptive or materially misleading information
  • impersonate another person or entity
  • create or operate accounts for fraudulent or abusive purposes
  • upload or transmit malware, malicious code or material intended to disrupt the Platform
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights of another person
  • harass, threaten, intimidate or abuse another User
  • manipulate Listings, reviews, enquiries or marketplace activity
  • use automated scraping, data extraction, bots or similar methods without authorisation
  • circumvent Platform safeguards, access controls or security measures
  • distribute spam, phishing attempts or unsolicited commercial communications
  • list products prohibited by law or by applicable Platform policy
  • otherwise interfere with the security, integrity or legitimate operation of the Platform

14User Content and Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of Content they lawfully submit to the Platform, subject to the rights granted in these Terms.

  • By submitting Content, a User grants Mandi Hub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, communicate, distribute and otherwise use that Content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and promote the Platform and to provide the relevant services. This licence continues for as long as reasonably required for those purposes, subject to applicable law.
  • Users represent that they have the rights and permissions necessary to submit the Content, and that the Content does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.

The Platform, including its software, design, branding, trademarks, logos, text, graphics and other proprietary materials, is owned by or licensed to Mandi Hub and may not be copied, modified, reproduced, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

15Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information is collected, used, stored and otherwise processed in accordance with Mandi Hub’s Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

  • Users must not request, collect, publish, misuse or disclose another User’s personal information except as reasonably necessary for a lawful Transaction or as otherwise permitted by law.
  • Users are responsible for handling contact details and other information received through the Platform appropriately and securely.

Where Mandi Hub relies on consent or another lawful basis for processing personal information, the relevant notices, consent mechanisms and rights available to Users are provided in accordance with applicable law.

16Platform Security, Availability and Modifications

Mandi Hub takes reasonable measures to maintain the security and availability of the Platform, but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or continuously available operation.

  • The Platform may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical failures, cybersecurity incidents, network issues or circumstances beyond Mandi Hub’s reasonable control.
  • Mandi Hub may modify, suspend, discontinue or introduce features, services, categories or functionality from time to time. Where reasonably practicable, material changes affecting Users are communicated through appropriate channels.
  • Users must not attempt to bypass technical restrictions, gain unauthorised access, interfere with Platform infrastructure, or conduct security testing without prior written authorisation.

17Suspension, Restriction and Termination

Mandi Hub may suspend, restrict or terminate an account, or access to all or part of the Platform, where it reasonably believes that a User has violated these Terms, applicable law or Platform policies, provided false or misleading information, engaged in fraud or abuse, created a security risk, or otherwise acted in a manner that may materially harm Users, Mandi Hub or the integrity of the Platform.

  • Mandi Hub may remove or restrict Listings or Content that it reasonably considers unlawful, unsafe, misleading, infringing, abusive or otherwise inconsistent with the Platform.
  • Where appropriate, Mandi Hub may request additional information before restoring access.
  • You may delete your own account at any time from Account & Privacy inside the app, and you may export a copy of your data from the same place.

Termination or suspension does not affect rights or obligations that accrued before the effective date of such action.

18Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform and its features are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.

  • Mandi Hub does not warrant that every Listing is accurate, complete, current or lawful, or that every User is genuine, trustworthy, qualified or capable of completing a Transaction.
  • Mandi Hub does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, ownership, authenticity, quantity, grade, fitness, merchantability, availability or suitability of agricultural products offered by Users, unless Mandi Hub expressly provides a separate guarantee.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

19Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mandi Hub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill or loss of data arising from or relating to a User’s use of the Platform or a Transaction between Users.

  • Mandi Hub is not responsible for acts or omissions of Users, including inaccurate Listings, non-payment, non-delivery, poor quality, shortage, fraud, misrepresentation or failure to perform a Transaction.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability to the extent such limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

20Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, a User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Mandi Hub and its officers, directors, employees, contractors and affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and reasonable expenses arising from or relating to:

  • the User’s breach of these Terms
  • unlawful or fraudulent use of the Platform
  • Content submitted by the User
  • a Transaction or dispute between the User and another User
  • infringement of a third party’s rights
  • violation of applicable law or regulatory requirements by the User

Mandi Hub may assume control of the defence of a claim for which it is entitled to indemnification, and the User agrees to reasonably cooperate in that defence.

21Complaints and Grievance Redressal

Mandi Hub maintains a grievance mechanism in accordance with applicable law. Users may submit complaints concerning Platform use, Listings, transactions, prohibited activity, privacy or other matters through the designated grievance contact published on the Platform.

  • Complaints should contain sufficient information to enable review, including the User’s contact details, relevant Listing or account information, and a description of the issue.
  • Mandi Hub may request additional information or supporting material where reasonably necessary to investigate a complaint.

The identity and contact details of the applicable grievance officer or designated grievance contact are published on the Platform and updated as required by applicable law.

22Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

  • Users should first attempt to resolve disputes concerning use of the Platform or a Transaction through the applicable grievance or support process.
  • Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer or other person from exercising any statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived, including the right to approach the consumer forum for their own location.

Subject to the foregoing and to applicable law, disputes arising directly between a User and Mandi Hub in connection with these Terms are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, India.

23Changes to These Terms

Mandi Hub may amend these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes in the Platform, applicable law, regulatory requirements, security practices or business operations.

  • The revised Terms are published on the Platform with an updated effective date.
  • Where required by law, Mandi Hub will provide additional notice or obtain any required consent.

A User’s continued use of the Platform after the revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

24General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions continue in full force.

  • A failure by Mandi Hub to enforce a provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision later.
  • A User may not assign or transfer rights or obligations under these Terms without Mandi Hub’s prior written consent, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Mandi Hub may assign or transfer its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, together with policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing use of the Platform in relation to their subject matter.

Revision history

  • Version 1.8 · 19 September 2026

A verified identity document is now deleted the moment it is verified, rather than kept for five years. Until this revision the photograph of an Aadhaar card - the full number, the holder's face and their address - stayed in storage for five years after it had served its only purpose, which was a reviewer comparing it against the details read off it. Those details are on the account and the verdict is on the record; the image was being kept for nothing but the chance of a second look, and holding it that long was the riskier reading of UIDAI's conditions and of the minimisation duty in the DPDP Act. A refused document is still kept, because somebody told their document was rejected is owed the ability to see why and send a corrected one, and it is erased on the same five-year clock as the identity numbers. The verified badge, the last four digits and the audit record naming the reviewer are unaffected.

  • Version 1.7 · 18 September 2026

Every published contact address moves to the company's own domain. Version 1.6, issued earlier the same day, gave the Grievance Officer the company's general telephone line — his own number had been supplied with nine digits, and no Indian mobile has nine — and an email address on mandihub.in, which was never a mailbox. The officer now has a reachable ten-digit number, and both his address and the general support address are on atavishaala.com. Nothing else changes: the officer, the registered identity, the seat of jurisdiction and every clause stand as issued in 1.6. A grievance route and a support address are only routes if they connect, which is why a contact detail warrants a revision of its own rather than a silent edit to the last one.

  • Version 1.6 · 18 September 2026

The company's legal identity is published for the first time. The IT Rules 2021 r.3(2) and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 r.5 each require an intermediary to name itself and a Grievance Officer who is a person; until now neither appeared on any surface, and the officer was given as the role title “Grievance Officer — MandiHub”. Both documents now carry the registered name Atavishaala Agro Exports Private Limited, its CIN, GSTIN and registered office at Kedgaon, Ahmednagar (Ahilyanagar), Maharashtra, and Nithin Amirineni as the named Grievance Officer with a telephone number and an email address. The seat of jurisdiction, blank in counsel's copy and therefore rendered as “the competent courts in India” since 1.5, now names Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra. The published grievance telephone number is the company line: the officer's direct number was supplied with nine digits, which no Indian mobile has, and a stated escalation route that does not connect is worse than one that is merely general.

  • Version 1.5 · 14 September 2026

Terms and Conditions replaced with the document supplied by counsel for Atavishaala Mandi Hub: 24 clauses covering eligibility, account security, the platform's role as an introducer rather than a party, seller and buyer obligations, listings and pricing, fulfilment, disputes, prohibited activity, content licensing, security, suspension, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, grievance redressal and governing law. Adds the clause that was missing from every earlier revision: selling requires a verified identity, and a verified seller's listing is published immediately rather than waiting for a moderator — which is what the Platform now does. The seat of jurisdiction is left blank in counsel's copy, so the clause names the competent courts in India until a city is supplied. The translated Terms were withdrawn rather than left describing the previous agreement; every language is served the current English Terms until a full translation replaces them.

  • Version 1.4 · 12 September 2026

Removes four claims the Terms and the Privacy Policy made that the Platform does not keep. The Terms told buyers they could track orders and deliveries, and four sections later said there is no order, no checkout and no payment; they also promised quality-verified products while stating elsewhere that a verified badge means an identity document was seen and nothing more, and that we do not inspect produce. Termination promised to settle pending transactions, and there are none. The Privacy Policy said we enable financial transactions through the platform, when the only money we handle is a subscription collected by Google Play.

  • Version 1.3 · 12 September 2026

Terms rewritten to describe what the Platform actually is: a classifieds board that introduces buyers to sellers and is never a party to their dealings. Removes the order, shipment, delivery and refund language for transactions that do not exist, and states plainly that a Google Play subscription is refunded by Google. Retention periods replaced with the ones now enforced by a daily job, and the PMLA basis for keeping identity data removed.

  • Version 1.2 · 12 September 2026

Consumer disputes are carved out of the arbitration clause: a consumer may take a complaint to the commission where they live or work and is not required to arbitrate. Adds the children's data and minimum-age section to the website, which had been in the app since 1.1 and missing from the web copy.

  • Version 1.1 · 9 August 2026

Adds the children's data section and states the minimum age of 18 in the Privacy Policy. Published both documents inside the mobile app.

  • Version 1.0 · 6 August 2026

First published revision. Removes escrow-era claims left over from the transactional marketplace, and replaces the render-time "Last updated" date with a fixed one.
